Position Description:

KT Engineering has an immediate opening for a Senior Mechanical Engineer - Flight Systems to support a fast-paced launch vehicle development program. Candidate will use ProE CREO CAD modeling software and Windchill PDM software to develop detailed designs for launch vehicle primary and secondary structures. Candidate will create models, production blueprints, and procurement specifications. Candidate will support the receipt of components, assembly of flight hardware, and sub-system / system testing to demonstrate conformance with engineering requirements. Candidate will be responsible for ensuring project designs meet technical, schedule, and budget parameters and are readily producible.

Candidate will be working as a member of a multi-contractor, multi-government agency team and may be required to provide work leadership for other team members. As such, Candidate is required to have effective (oral and written) communication and interpersonal skills. The position requires a highly motivated, goal-oriented individual who is interested in “hands-on” development and testing. Limited travel will be required.
